sidebody leave their ‘fingerprints’ all over Camberville in new video

Screengrab

Welcome to CSI: Camberville, a new series where we investigate all of the places that sidebody left their fingerprints while recording the music video for their song, erm, “fingerprints.” The Somerville band’s latest visual (released February 25) sets their cheeky 2025 single against a handful of familiar backdrops: The Somerville Market Basket, Prestige Car Wash, Oxford Street Laundry in Cambridge. (Not to mention some lucky soul’s luxe bathtub that’s large enough to fit four bandmates).

For a jaunty art-rock song about leaving fingerprints all over someone’s mattress, the new release is a squeaky clean affair, and likely provides more shenanigans in three minutes than you’ve experienced in the last 30 days. Per a post from the band’s Instagram, the “fingerprints” video is intended to “inspire revenge, bathtub hangs, in-dryer naps, soaking your finest suitjacket, and parking lot choreography.”

Frankly, they had us at “revenge.” Tune in below.
