Band in the USA: BANKS unveils summer ‘Serpentina’ tour

Via High Rise PR

Our girl BANKS released her incredible fourth studio album Serpentina last week (April 8) via AWAL, and with it came word that the alt-pop artist will be showcasing it across North America this summer. We’ve been snakebitten by BANKS’ sultry avant-pop charm in the lead-up to the record drop — feeling “Skinnydipped” and riding with “The Devil”, in particular — so we’re excited to hear how these immaculate tracks translate to the stage. And since the album marks her first as an independent artist, we’re excited as what’s to come in a live setting.

“In the past I’ve been really tight and controlled, and I don’t feel like that right now,” says BANKS. “I just feel more wild and free.”

That’s good news for show goers, for sure. BANKS’ 25-date run includes a July 25 show at Boston’s House of Blues, a July 27 twirl at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, and festival appearances at BottleRock and Lollapalooza. Get lost in her Serpentina world below, and scan all the upcoming live dates after the jump.
