#Baustin: Listen to the bands playing our SXSW party with Berklee College of Music

Last week we unveiled the lineup for Boston & Beyond 2016, our collaborative project with Berklee College of Music that brings the best in new music to the stage and your earholes. Fresh off a rousing CMJ party last fall, we're back at it with another free South-By-Southwest party later this month, March 17 at Brush Square Park's West Tent, from noon to 6 p.m., located next to the Austin Convention Center. Our event is all ages, and open to SXSW badge holders. Get on the list without charge by RSVPing here.

And the lineup features seven of your new favorite bands, duos, and projects: Seattle guitar-rock band Great Grandpa, Los Angeles indie upstarts IAN, Allston garage rock trio Lady Pills (selected by Heavy Rotation Records), electronic-pop duo mar | co, psych-pop project Plastic Waves, riff-mad Brooklyn rock quintet Rann, and the latest and final addition, alt-pop wizard M + E.

Boston & Beyond 2016 is presented by The Red Room @ Cafe 939, Berklee Alumni Affairs, Heavy Rotation Records (HRR), and Vanyaland. This is Berklee’s 11th annual event at SXSW. Listen in on March 17 via VanyaRadio.

mar | co

mar|co is a future pop duo consisting of vocalist Marie Lang and producer Alex Coco, who met while attending Berklee. After collaborating on their first single “Bridges,” they decided to form mar|co.
With Marie growing up in Vienna, Austria, and Alex spending most of his life in Miami, Florida, the duo is influenced by a variety of genres, but share a deep passion for electronic music. Combining dark and dreamy vocals with a unique production style, they have been working on establishing a sound of their own.
