If you stare long enough at the teaser video for Converge’s ‘Live at the BBC’ EP, you could crawl into your computer screen and enter a new world

Ok, no not, really. But this minute-long teaser clip for a new Converge live EP is pretty fucking killer. The video serves to announce the Live At The BBC EP, which doesn’t yet have a release date but unearths a 2010 recording at Maida Vaile Studios in London, the former site of the John Peel Session which has birthed recordings from everyone from New Order and the Cure to Carcass and Napalm Death.

Recorded by Simon Askew, the EP will feature four live, in-the-studio renditions of “Dark Horse,” “Axe To Fall,” “Damages,” and a plugged-in version of “Hanging Moon,” which was released as an acoustic track on 2004’s You Fail Me.

Live at the BBC will be released via Deathwish.
