Earlier this week Clutch dropped a new single called “We Strive For Excellence.” Shortly after, the Maryland groove rock veterans proved it by unveiling an autumn tour that features one of the more inspired triple-bills we’ve seen in a while, bringing Helmet and Quicksand along for 26 heavy-as-fuck dates across North America.
Included in the run is a September 15 twirl at Boston’s House of Blues, arriving as the second stop on the tour. Things wrap October 16 in Chicago, and tickets go on sale Friday (June 17); hit clutchontour.com for details.
Helmet and Quicksand will rotate nightly for the main support slot, and all shows also feature special guest JD Pinkus, known for his work in Butthole Surfers.
