Mic’d Up: Jenny Zigrino brings history and hilarity to Harvard Square

With the turbulent legacy of humanity, some things in history just have to be laughed at. Jenny Zigrino, as well as a full cast of her comedy pals, are making sure we do just that as she sticks around town for a few days.

Combining elements of her already widely-adored comedy, including her astute political and social commentary, with moments of lore buried deep in the archives of time, Zigrino returns to the area on Wednesday (April 15) as she brings a special Patriots Day edition of History Tonight! to The Comedy Studio. With the help of some of her closest comedy comrades including Rob Crean, Bethany Van Delft, Gary James, Brieana Woodward, and others, Zigrino will look to — at least in her own special ways — make sense of the nonsense we’ve come to read in the history books, which couldn’t come at a more important time, if we’re being totally real.

However, a midweek trip into Harvard Square may not be in your wheelhouse, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on that signature Zigrino zest, as she will be sticking around ye olde ComStu for another night to unleash a full hour of stand-up (perhaps without a powdered wig) on Saturday (April 18) as she trudges forward in the pursuit of her next special recording in Brooklyn next month.

There’s a whole lot of Zigrino on the docket in the coming days, and quite frankly, we couldn’t think of a better way to spend our time — and you should also consider joining the rest of the gang underground in one of the hottest comedy spots in the city.
