Folks, it’s the calm before the storm: on the national stage, CinemaCon starts in Vegas later today, and IFFBoston is about to blow up the average cinephile’s schedule next week. All in all, it’s a busy time of year, and we’ll have a ton to write about. That’s why, on this Monday, we’re grateful to Billie Eilish and James Cameron for giving us a new trailer for Billie Eilish – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: The Tour (Live in 3D), which feels like it was titled after an 18th-century novel with the number of after-colon titles and extra parentheticals. That way, we don’t have to write about the Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping because we didn’t see the last one, and we really don’t want to piss off the fanbase.

Also, because this is pretty fuckin’ dope. It rocks that Eilish, of all people, was the one to pry Jim Cameron away from his New Zealand soundstages and get him to make a doc, which he hasn’t done solo since Ghosts of the Titanic back in 2002. Also, Cameron is perhaps the only studio filmmaker who can make a modern 3D feature look good today (shouts out to non-studio guys like Bi Gan and Werner Herzog for making the form their own). Plus, there are adorable puppies!

Peep it:

Here’s a synopsis for Billie Eilish – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: The Tour (Live in 3D):
