When you have a multi-faceted repertoire of skills like Joel Kim Booster holds, there are a few different ways you can take things in your career. Thankfully, he’s decided to choose the way that brings us the most laughs night after night, and will be choosing the way of Somerville in the coming days to deliver just that.
With one night slated for Crystal Ballroom on Monday (March 30), Booster returns to the area with a diabolically funny new show, Choose This Way. With his well-crafted edge and unique perspective at the forefront, fueled by years of comedic excellence on both stage and screen, as well as an endless push to be one of the most exciting names in the industry, a night with Booster at the helm is one to be circled on the calendar. Not to mention, it’s a wild way to start a work week.
In addition to his recorded work on stage, most recently delivered in the form of his 2022 Netflix special Psychosexual, Booster has also put his creative footprint on a number of television and film projects, including the wildly successful Netflix animated series KPop Demon Hunters, and most recently, he can be seen as Dr. Eric Park in the highly-anticipated return of the Zach Braff-led classic Scrubs on ABC.
