Mic’d Up: Zachariah Porter brings that ‘Big Back Behavior’ home

Via The Wilbur

Making your way back home is always a big deal, especially when you’re as big a deal as Zachariah Porter. This time around, though, the true focus is on what’s behind him, in a way, instead of what’s ahead.

Making his way back to home turf for a full weekend at The Wilbur starting on Friday (March 27), Porter is bringing his Big Back Behavior tour to town with a powerful punch of stand-up, character sketches, and the regionally-cultivated sass we’ve come to know, love, and fully resonate with from the New Bedford native.

It will mark his second go-around at one of the most legendary stages in all of New England (and a prized opportunity in comedy, in general) as he previously brought his Strip Mall Tease tour to Tremont Street in early 2025. It hasn’t been too long since we last saw him, which is both surprising and impressive, but chances are he’s got a whole new bag of tricks that are sure to give us all a healthy gut-busting dose of laughs.

There’s no judgement in the world of Porter (unless you deserve it), so if you’re hoping to swing through your local comedy show with an appetite for top-notch writing and impassioned performance, Porter may just be right up your alley.

ZACHARIAH PORTER: THE BIG BACK BEHAVIOR TOUR :: Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: 6:30 p.m. all shows, $58 :: Advance tickets
