For the better part of the last two years, Gianmarco Soresi has had quite the glow up in terms of his bustling stand-up career, which he has used to bring whatever good word that is to be delivered to the masses. Now, he’s also planning on bringing a little misery with him on his way back to town.
The vibes cultivated by Soresi in recent months have been nothing short of fantastic, but they’re about to get even better in the late innings of the year when Soresi brings his Misery Loves tour to The Wilbur for two shows on December 4 and 5.
While the success of his podcast, The Downside, has skyrocketed as a result of spreading the good word and top-tier guests like Sarah Sherman, Kumail Nanjiani, and Roy Wood Jr., Soresi has kept the calendar full with stand-up dates all around New York City every night, in addition to a national touring schedule that only seems to be getting longer as his reach increases.
Also setting up at The Wilbur ahead of Michael Blaustein’s newly announced late show on October 9, will be Kathy Griffin, who brings her New Face, New Tour to town on October 3, while Phoebe Robinson returns on November 13 as part of her Feral & Fired Up! tour.
Meanwhile, in Medford, Ben Schwartz has added a 3:30 p.m. matinee show to his upcoming stop at Chevalier Theatre on November 8.
Over in Somerville, the mild world of the Ladies & Tangents podcast makes its way to the Crystal Ballroom stage on May 22 as part of the upcoming Girls Gone Mild tour.
If you’re looking to a little road trip around New England during the late fall months, John Mulaney is making his way to Foxwoods on November 6, before a jaunt up to New Hampshire for a night at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on November 8.
Tickets for these shows can be accessed via venue pre-sales starting today (March 26) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. General on-sale begins Friday (March 27) at 10 a.m. ET.
