Fest Intentions: The Town And The City Festival 2025 with Couch, Lady Lamb, Ezra Furman

The fabric of downtown Lowell may be changing, but that’s not slowing down The Town And The City Festival.

The annual fest has announced the lineup for its 2025 edition, which will take place at venues across downtown Lowell from April 24 to 26. And while Mill City has lost a few performance spaces in recent months, including Gallery Z and Zorba Music Hall (not to mention The Overlook, which shutters along with its home Mill No. 5 at the beginning of February), the weekend-long festival’s footprint is as large as ever.

Couch, Lady Lamb, and Ezra Furman (pictured above) lead a lineup of over three dozen homegrown performers, from folk outfit Twisted Pine to the straight-ahead rock duo of Hilken Mancini and Melissa Gibbs. Rock and Roll Rumble winners The Ghouls are also on the lineup, along with fellow Lowellians like Senseless Optimism, The PA’s, Class President, Knock Over City, and blindspot. The Sheila Divine, Heretix, and and Jake Swamp & The Pine also highlight the festivities.

More performers will be announced as the spring festival approaches, as well as individual lineups and locations for all shows. In the meantime, festival passes go on sale this Friday (January 17) for $70 each.
