Sean Patton is certainly no stranger to the comedic magic that flows through the Boston area, but he’s tuning in to a new powerful crystal — the ballroom, that is – to deliver a fresh new spell of hilarity this summer.

As announced earlier this week, the New Orleans native will be making his way back to town for one night Somerville’s Crystal Ballroom on August 31. Since his last visit here as part of David Cross’ Worst Daddy In The World tour, Patton has continued to tour all over on a regular basis following the release of two full-length specials in 2022 with King Scorpio on YouTube, and Number One on Peacock.

Also making his way to Crystal Ballroom later this year will be longtime comedian and OG YouTuber Mike Falzone, who brings his electric stage presence to Somerville on October 9. In addition being the creator and executive producer of the highly successful crowdwork show Surrounded, Falzone has also been featured on festival stages like Just For Laughs in Montreal, Moontower in Austin, and the Netflix Is a Joke Festival in Los Angeles. He currently serves as host of two podcasts, as well, with Dynamic Banter and Welcome to Our Podcast, the latter of which he co-hosts alongside his wife, Zoja.

The Somerville fun doesn’t stop there, however, as The Big Happy Tour, a multi-billed show featuring a slew of LGBTQ+ comedians including Jada Catta-Preta, Billie Lee and a myriad of special guests, makes its way to the Center for The Arts at The Armory on June 14 as part of a 20-city tour.

Adding to Medford’s ever-growing comedy embrace, multi-faceted storytelling comedian Hunter Hill will be making his way from Los Angeles to throw down at Deep Cuts in July 18. In addition to his work on stage, which has found him on the bill of Just For Laughs, and featured as part of the international tours of both Iliza Shlesinger and Taylor Tomlinson, Hill has also appeared on The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show and Good On Paper on Netflix, and the YouTube Series Iliza’s Locals.

As if the Wilbur’s calendar wasn’t already packed enough with top-tier comedy talent this year, Corey Holcomb is adding to the fun with his Book of Coreythians Chapter 2 tour on August 11, Donnell Rawlings returns with a brand new hour on September 6, and former Cum Town podcast host Nick Mullen makes his latest trip to Tremont Street on September 27. Additionally, Kanan Gill brings his What Is This? World Tour to The Wilbur stage on October 2, and Morgan Jay returns to The Wilbur with two shows as part of his Aphrodesia Tour on December 12 and 13.

Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via pre-sale by using the code VANYA, before they go on sale to the general public starting Friday (May 3) at 10 a.m. ET.
