Kumail Nanjiani marks his return to Boston after nearly a decade

Via The Wilbur

There’s not always a need to get all poetic about a comedic force coming through town, but there is quite a few reasons to get excited for Kumail Nanjiani making his way back to Boston for the first time in a hot minute.

Per the announcement earlier this week, the award-winning comedian and actor will be at The Wilbur for what is sure to be a highly-anticipated night on April 14. It’s been a number of years since the Eternals star has last been on a Boston stage, and since then, he has gone on to amass quite the list of film and TV credits including The Big Sick, Fist Fight, Dolittle, History of The World, Part II, and a myriad of others.

Also making his way to The Wilbur later this year will be Duncan Trussell, who brings his thought-provoking and highly lauded brand of comedy to Tremont Street on November 1. In addition to his years on stage, Trussell has expanded his creative horizons with a number of TV and film credits, as well as his hit podcast, The Duncan Trussell Family Hour, in which he often meshes the worlds of comedy and spirituality, specifically Tibetan Buddhism.

The Reality Gays podcast will be heading to Crystal Ballroom on April 3, while Oscar-nominated comedian and writer Jena Friedman sets up shop in Davis Square less than a week later on April 9.

Writer and comedian Daniel Weingarten, who has been featured on TruTV’s Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks and Adam Ruins Everything, and also recently released his second feature film, The Idea of Progress, will be making his way to Medford’s Deep Cuts on June 29.

Tickets to these shows can be accessed via pre-sale starting today (February 22) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. General on-sale starts on Friday (February 23) at 10 a.m. ET.
