Ladytron gaze into an all-seeing photo-roman eye with the ‘Faces’ video

Ladytron are set to release new album Time’s Arrow later this week, with a keen eye on our every move. The resurrected Liverpool quartet and iconic electronic-pop group have set a tone and a glare for the record with a Daniel Hunt-directed music video for “Faces,” a photo-roman approach to digital storytelling that’s inspired by Chris Marker’s short film La Jetée and the Italian Giallo genre. Taking its title from the Cassavetes film of the same name, “Faces” is a lush, enchanting track that feels appropriate for a short film soundtrack, sonically recalling the band’s early 604 work while the psychedelic and art-house visuals flash across a city under watch from an all-seeing eye. Swan dive into the clip below. Also, be mindful of the Friday (January 20) release of Time’s Arrow via Cooking Vinyl, revisit the band’s 2019 appearance at Royale, and catch Ladytron playing this year’s Just Live Heaven festival in Los Angeles come May 13.
