Post Malone was hospitalized last night (September 24) in Boston with severe breathing issues, forcing the rapper to postpone his show at TD Garden as fans waited to get inside the arena. The Saturday night TD Garden show was the second of two gigs after Malone performed on Friday — rocking a Marcus Smart Celtics jersey — for the latest stop on his Twelve Carat Tour of North America.

Last week, Malone took a nasty fall on stage in St. Louis, injuring his ribs after falling through a trap door. There’s no word if that incident is related to his current issues, but Malone hit social media around 7 p.m. last night, just before doors were set to open at the Garden, to reveal he was in the hospital and experiencing “stabbing pain” while breathing.

“Boston, I love y’all so fucking much,” Malone wrote in a graphic posted to Twitter and Instagram Stories. “On tour, I usually wake up around 4 o’clock PM, and today I woke up to a cracking sounds on the right side of my body. I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.”

Malone revealed he posted the news while receiving medical treatment at a local facility.

“We’re in the hospital now, but with this pain, I can’t do the show tonight. I’m so fucking sorry,” he added. “Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the reschedule that we’re planning right now. Once again, I’m so fucking sorry. I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon.”

The message was signed “Love, Austy.”

Malone’s next scheduled show is Tuesday (September 27) in Cleveland. We’ll post news on the rescheduled Boston date as soon as its public.
