Boston Calling unveils afterparties at The Sinclair with Ripe and Earthgang

We looked it up on the internet, and we found that The Sinclair is about a six-minute walk to and from the Harvard Athletic Complex, the site of Boston Calling Music Festival. So it makes sense the Harvard Square venue is hosting a couple of festival afterparties this Memorial Day weekend, and this week Boston Calling and Bowery Boston unveiled the goods: Homegrown product Ripe take stage on May 27, while Atlanta hip-hop duo Earthgang do it up on May 28.

Both groups are part of this year’s lineup which features Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, and The Strokes as headliners. Earthgang were among the first groups to be announced back in the fall for Boston Calling ’22, and Ripe, who we just profiled yesterday, are part of a healthy slate of New England-based talent that flows from the Tivoli Audio Orange Stage to the trio of main stages.

Tickets for Boston Calling are on sale now, and tickets to the afterparties go on sale through boweryboston.com this Friday (May 13) at noon. However, Bowery is hosting a presale for both events that starts today at 10 a.m.; use the code BC22.

Check out our archive coverage of Ripe, and scan through Emily Gardner’s incredible photo gallery of Earthgang’s February 2020 performance at Royale. The photo up top is from that show.
