The baseline rage that courses through the city of Boston is something of hyperbolic legend, sure – but leave it to Chris Porter to give a whole city a run for its money when it comes to boiling over.
Capping off a full weekend of Massachusetts shows on Sunday (October 11) with one night at Laugh Boston, the Kansas City native brings with him a fresh hour of comedy, opening a new chapter in his career following the release of his most recent special Middle Rage, that will likely boost your serotonin as much as it will raise Porter’s blood pressure. While his comedy treks through the jungle of his own experiences and observations as opposed to topical humor, Porter’s short fuse combined with a highly touted and long-forged penchant for finding the best ways to describe the smallest details of a situation equals out to one of the best club comics you’ll see all year.
It’s not all that often he gets up to Massachusetts, and he may not be from here, but once Porter steps behind the mic, the energy is something we can all appreciate as something we all feel every day.
CHRIS PORTER :: Sunday, October 11 at Laugh Boston, 425 Summer St. in Boston, MA :: 6 p.m., $33 :: Advance tickets
