Dropkick Murphys announce Boston Blowout shows for St. Patrick’s Day 2020

Next year, Dropkick Murphys’ set of Boston Blowout shows will take the band to Boston turf they’ve never touched before — literally.

Today, the group announced the roster of dates for their annual Boston shows surrounding St. Patrick’s Day, sharing five gigs lined up from March 13 to 17. As expected, the group hits The House of Blues for three performances (plus one short acoustic set), but this year’s tradition expands with two added venues: Big Night Live and Encore Casino in Everett.

The shows kick off March 13 with an “In The Round” performance at Encore. “That’s right, stage in the middle… with all you bastards surrounding us on all sides!!” as DKM’s website states. From there, things move to The House of Blues on March 14 and 15, cramming two shows, an acoustic set, and the customary “pro boxing” activities into two days.

The Dropkicks then perform March 16 at Big Night Live in North Station, the show taking place right after the Boston Bruins game, where it’s, appropriately enough, “Irish Night” at TD Garden. In addition, the DKM Claddagh Fund Charity will take home the winnings from that evening’s 50/50 raffle from the hockey game.

For St. Patrick’s Day (March 17), of course, the band circles back to The House of Blues, as tradition mandates.

Tickets go on sale Friday (November 29), and all ticket info is here; check out the flyer the full list of shows below.
