Pop music survivalists Pet Shop Boys have detailed plans to release their 14th studio album in January, and the LP’s most recent single features former Suede guitarist and award-winning producer Bernard Butler.

The Pet Shop Boys will release Hotspot on January 24 via x2 Records/Kobalt, and to set the mood, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have today released their Butler collaboration, a ballad titled “Burning the Heather.” Listen to it below, and bask in that delicate guitarwork courtesy of Butler, who we interviewed back in 2016.

Hotspot was mostly recorded at Hansa Studios in Berlin, and is billed as the final installment of a trilogy of albums produced by Stuart Price, according to reports. It follows 2013’s Electric and 2016’s Super.

“We’ve written much of our music over the last 10 years in Berlin,” the band states, “and it was an exciting experience to work on this album in the legendary Hansa studios there and add a new dimension to our sound.”
