Boston Calling 2019: Travis Scott, Twenty One Pilots, and Tame Impala headline

Greta Van Fleet, Janelle Monáe, and Hozier will also perform at the 10th edition of the Memorial Day weekend festival

You could say the tenth edition of Boston Calling is sponsored by the letter T. After teasing their 2019 lineup announcement yesterday on social media, the Allston music festival has shared its full artist roster for this spring, with Travis Scott, Twenty One Pilots, and Tame Impala all scoring top billing.

Per tradition, the 2019 edition will span Memorial Day weekend, from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26 at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston.

Avid fans will notice that many of the names on the lineup are repeats from previous years; Janelle Monáe, Hozier, Odesza, Christine and The Queens, Chromeo, Brandi Carlile, Marina (f.k.a. Marina and the Diamonds), and Mitski have all graced the stages at BosCall at some prior point, although other major names like Logic, Greta Van Fleet (told ya), and Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals are new to the fest.

Other buzz artists from 2018 dot the lineup — King Princess, Princess Nokia, Snail Mail, and Superorganism round out the undercard alongside Gang of Youths, Pale Waves, and White Reaper.

As for the festival’s annual smattering of artists with local roots, Guster, Clairo, Pile, Sasha Sloan, and Sidney Gish will all flaunt their Massachusetts connections on the big stages.

Boston Calling also released its 2019 roster of comedians, with Michael Che, Jenny Slate, Fred Armisen, Melissa Villaseñor, Marina Franklin, and Boston’s own Sam Jay and Lamont Price all on deck to perform that weekend.

Adding another layer to the festival’s growing fourth stage, Boston Calling has “teamed up” with Boston Ballet “to plan a series of scheduled performances throughout the festival weekend.” Singer-songwriter Imogen Heap will also offer a spoken word show at the indoor arena.

“Since 2013, we’ve had the privilege of bringing fans nine editions of Boston Calling, featuring hundreds of acts: From world-renowned superstars, to Grammy winners and nominees, to local artists on the rise,” says Boston Calling co-founder and CEO Brian Appel. “We love the artists that have been assembled for 2019, and look forward to welcoming back many of our favorites from past editions. With each Boston Calling, we aim to bring the festival to greater heights and this year is no exception.”
