Iceage propel forward with agitated new track ‘Broken Hours’

Danish punk band Iceage are set to wrap up a full month of North American tour dates this Tuesday night (November 27) at Elsewhere in New York City, but we here in Boston didn’t get much of a taste of their latest swing across our fair country. That’s okay, though, because we enjoy gifts of music any way they may materialize, and today Iceage have released a brand new track to swan dive into as we drift out of our extended holiday weekend malaise. This new joint is a punchy, agitated fit of guitar-rock called “Broken Hours”, and it was not included on the band’s May album Beyondless. It propels as a nice gloomy Monday soundtrack, and when vocalist Elias Bender Rønnenfelt offers up “Dying figures they settle in / Broken hours, it lingers on”, you know you’re not alone in this chaotic mess of a day.
