‘Mid90s’ Trailer 2: ‘Skate or die’, says Jonah Hill

Ah, yes: Another day, another person telling you to check out a preview for Jonah Hill’s directorial debut Mid90s, a coming of age tale set in the titular era about a group of skate rats raising hell on the LA streets.

A24 dropped a fresh trailer for the film on Tuesday, which doesn’t offer up a bunch of new footage but it does have a bunch of critics telling you to see the damn thing, so that might be all the proof you need to check this shit out. It’s not like you’d want too much footage in these previews, given the fact that the movie is barely 85 minutes long, but you never know! We hear that some people on the Information Superhighway really like having their movies spoiled for them.

Take a look:

Here’s a synopsis: “Written and directed by Jonah Hill, Mid90s follows Stevie, a thirteen-year-old in ’90s-era LA who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop.”

You won’t have to wait very long to see Hill’s movie — it’s dropping on October 19, primo time for that seasonal affective disorder to start hitting your ass like a freight train and have you California dreaming’ — and we’ll have some fun Mid90s content coming for your entertainment, right around then, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, you can check out our review from TIFF. We liked it quite a bit, and we think you will too.
