Halle Berry to headshot goons in ‘John Wick: Chapter 3’

After rumors swirled a month or two ago that Halle Berry finally got over her Kingsman hangover and might possibly be picking up a gun to join Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 3, the actress herself confirmed as much and announced it today on her Instagram.

Yep, we’re freaking the fuck out about this one.

It's a date. 5.17.19

No word on who Berry will be playing at the moment, but it’s known that she won’t be playing the villain — that role is rumored to be going to Hiroyuki Sanada — but either way, it’s pretty exciting to see this cast taking shape. Jacob Knight over at Birth Movies Death drew a pretty fun link between her past as a Bond girl and her present as a member of the John Wick gang, so we’re just going to go ahead and link you to that rather than ripping them off wholesale. That’s some ethical internet-writing there, folks.

In other John Wick news, a bevy of other casting announcements hit the web today thanks to the film’s twitter account, which revealed that Asia Kate Dillon (from Showtime’s Billions), Anjelica Huston, Yanyan Ruhian (from The Raid), Mark Dacascos, Tiger Hu Chen (who was incredible in Reeves’ directorial debut Man of Tai Chi) and, revealed in true “holy-fucking-shit-WHAT” fashion, beloved comedian Jason Mantzoukas will be appearing in the third installment. Mantzoukas will be playing, no joke, a character called “the Tick-Tock Man,” and goddammit we love this goofy-as-fuck film series.

Alongside Reeves, series regulars Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick (the G.O.A.T), and Ian McShane will be returning to play their roles, as well as Chapter 2 director Chad Stahelski. We can’t hardly believe this shit, but here we are anyways.

John Wick: Chapter 3 will hit theaters on May 17, 2019. Be seeing you.
