Well, this is exciting.
While we here in America are bracing for Sunday’s Super Bowl, England is on some other shit entirely, hosting a hang sesh between all five Spice Girls. And yes, that even includes Victoria Beckham.
As TMZ reports, the ’90s girl group all got together on Friday (February 2) at Geri Halliwell’s place in London, and not only do we have proof of the impromptu reunion, we also have… plans?!?!
“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together,” The Spice Girls say in a joint statement. “We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”

Below is the pic Beckham posted earlier today to social media. Another photo shows manager Simon Fuller was in on the meeting, and many have pointed out that the group’s 1998 film Spice World celebrated its 20th anniversary back in January 23.
So while things are ripe for development, we may not be getting what we all really really want — namely, a tour and maybe even some new tunes. Instead, the British press report that this reunion will center on some TV deals, a new greatest hits comp, and some endorsement deals. So we’ll see.
Either way, it’s good to have Baby, Sporty, Posh, Scary, and Ginger back in the fold — the world needs you more than ever, and you never know what could happen now that they’ve all said they’ll be there.
