Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

Passion Pit founder and songwriter Michael Angelakos has been candid about his struggles with bipolar disorder, and now has taken steps to help other musicians facing the same battles.

According to Mashable, Angelakos is set to announce a new New York-based company called The Wishart Group, which is designed to “support musicians and provide them with legal, educational and healthcare services.” Angelakos declined to comment for the Mashable post, but an announcement is expected to come as early as this week.

Meanwhile, The Wishart Group has reportedly raised $250 million in funding, with “big names” from the fields of music and tech getting involved and having a place on its board. The project is described as an “artist research and protection service,” with a focus on mental health.

This is incredible news.

For those who feel they have recently seen the Wishart name attached to an Angelakos project, Wishart Music Publishing teamed with Frenchkiss Records in December to release his holiday video album, Merry Christmas, Mr. Fields. Watch it in full below.
