There are a lot of things going right for the Chicago Cubs this season. Warren G singing “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” during the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley Field will not go down as one of them.
As the Cubbies take on future ace Aaron Blair and the Atlanta Braves this afternoon, the “Regulate” rapper was brought up to the booth (for some reason) to lead fans in the usual tradition of singing the beloved baseball anthem.
It did not go well.
After demanding the Wrigley faithful “mount up”, Mr. G then got booed right off the bat as he screwed up the first line of the song, going with some sort of unofficial remix that apparently starts “Take meee tooooo the ballgame…” As we await more video of this American travesty, Tommy Lorenzo got the intro up on Twitter.

Warren G just joined the likes of Mike Ditka & Ozzie Osbourne with 1 of the most ridiculous 7th-Inn Stretch performances in Wrigley history

I’m sorry Warren G, you are hereby banned from singing the stretch at Wrigley. Also, who the hell is Warren G?

Warren G just butchered the 7th Inning Stretch at Wrigley. At least he will always have “Regulate”.
