Photo Gallery: Interpol return to town for winter nightmare make-up shows at House of Blues


No one would fault Interpol for refusing to tour in weather below 85 degrees given the absolute debacle in November where they ran smack into a deadly blizzard outside of Buffalo, which left the New York City based indie-gloom heroes stranded on their tour bus for three days. Subsisting on Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Cup O’ Noodles, Paul Banks and crew were forced to cancel and postpone a handful of dates, including a show at the House of Blues.

Taking no chances on another frigid prank from Mother Nature, it was determined that Boston would get two dates in July which took place last Thursday and Friday. It was on the latter that despite near 90 degree heat, Interpol managed to bring a chill to the night with icy favorites like “Slow Hands,” “Rest My Chemistry” and tracks from El Pintor, album number five, which came out in September.
