Kanye West debuted a new song tonight at the BRIT Awards in London, but one notable Brit was apparently not feeling it: Liam Gallagher.
The one-time Oasis and Beady Eye frontman took to Twitter earlier this evening to declare Kanye “Utter shit.” He then added a second diss — “And you’re a million miles away from College Dropout. That’s artistry.” — before making a rather bizarre recommendation. Gallagher told Yeezy to “check out Lee Mavers,” who’s best known as the singer/guitarist of English pop-rock band the La’s and their 1988 hit “There She Goes.”
Wait… what? There Liam goes again.
Gallagher doesn’t exactly tweet very often — he’s used Twitter only a handful of times in 2015 — but West’s performance tonight at the BRIT Awards, a show that featured flamethrowers, on-stage moshing, and a riveting new song “All Day,” must have really set him off.
We think.
