Guitars Everywhere: Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, and Alt-J lead 2015 BRIT Awards nominations

Nevermind the Oscars, the 2015 BRIT Awards have been announced today, and there’s a whole lot of dudes with guitars.

Ed Sheeran leads the ballot with nods in four categories, including Male Solo Artist, Single (“Thinking Out Loud”), Album of the Year (X), and Video of the Year (“Thinking Out Loud”). George Ezra has a strong showing as well, showing up in three spots — Male Solo Artist, Single (“Budapest”) and Breakthrough Act — while Royal Blood also pull off a hat trick in the Group, Breakthrough, and Album (Royal Blood) categories. Alt-J, pictured above, appears a few times on the ballot as well. Scan the full list down below.

The 2015 BRIT awards go down February 25 at London’s O2 Arena. Performers include Taylor Swift, Paloma Faith, Sam Smith and others.

Up for British Group of the Year are One Direction, Clean Bandit, Coldplay, Royal Blood, and Alt-J.

It’s the first year for new BRIT Awards chairman Max Lousada, the CEO of Warner Music UK.

“The BRITs is the UK’s biggest showcase for music talent and one of the most anticipated events in the global entertainment calendar, so to lead the team behind it is both a great honour and an exciting challenge,” he says in a presser. “At its heart, The BRITs is a celebration of creativity so it’s fitting that our first appointments are Es and Willo, both of whom are synonymous with artistic excellence and have collaborated with some of the world’s most exciting and inventive acts.”
