Welp, y’all just got plans for Halloween night 2k17.
Speedy Ortiz has announced a fall North American tour with Sacramento dudes Tera Melos, and smack dab in the middle of their 30-date run is an October 31 show at The Sinclair in Cambridge that also stars And The Kids.
Everybody say woo! Everybody say boo! (In a good way, the Halloween-y way.)
The tour was revealed by Speedy guitarist/vocalist Sadie Dupuis on Instagram, who writes: “gonna practice guitar all day every day all night every night so i don’t embarrass myself on tour with these ULTIMATE SHREDDERS”.
A few weeks back, Speedy Ortiz unveiled a new/old track as a proper sendoff for departing guitarist Devin McKnight, and will be rounded out for these upcoming gigs by Andy Molholt of Laser Background on second guitar. For those who can’t get enough of Dupuis and all her awesomeness, she’ll be performing an acoustic “quiet guy set” this Saturday (July 29) at Run For Cover Records’ Black and Pink fundraiser. “i’ve wanted to do a fundraiser for black and pink for a few years and it’s gonna be so cool to do it with Petal & Wendy Eisenberg,” she writes. “this will be a two-piece set with Andy Molholt doing songs from sad13, speedy & who knows what else… very limited tickets so get ’em here!”
