Magic City Hippies, The Enemy Tour, January 25
Not too long ago, January in Boston was a dead zone for touring bands to roll through. That’s no longer the case, and the greatest benefit to us all is having some warm and toasty vibes brought to our city in the middle of a frigid and unforgiving winter. Now it’s Magic City Hippies’ turn to raise the temps, as the Miami alt-pop psych-funk party starters post up at Boston’s Citizens House of Blues on January 25, part of the Enemy tour of North America. It’ll feel like mid-July just when we need it most, especially with no chance of a Patriots’ Super Bowl run to help keep us warm. “We’re very psyched to announce that we’ll be BACK ON THE ROAD this winter, throwing down all the brand new heat & the greatest hitsss on a stage near YOU!!!” the Hippies write on Insta. “Honored to have fellow-Miamian indie zest-poppers Mustard Service joining the bill on this run. The VIP Meet & Greets we started last winter were a HUGE delight for us — so we’re excited to offer those in EVERY SINGLE CITY this time!!!” Heck yeah — that means us. Fire up “What We Wanna” below, and fear January’s freeze no more. Tickets go on sale Friday (October 4) at 10 a.m. local time.
