They’ve been in hibernation for a minute, but now the Wolves of Glendale are back in town to deliver a brand new set of musical hilarity that will have some of us howling along with them, and other laughing like hyenas.
As part of the sprawling WBUR Festival this weekend, the Los Angeles-based comedy rock trio heads to Boston University’s CFA Concert Hall on Saturday (May 30) for the first ever live edition of their viral Iron Songwriter series.
While they do have a catalog jam-packed with bangers that touch on evading the authorities in Las Vegas, losing their newly adopted horse Ricky somewhere in New York City, and setting the script of Shrek to fist-pumping riffs, the boys will embark on a real-time writing workshop that will surely end with a new song in the can. What the topic will be, nobody knows quite yet – but that’s really the beauty of it.
Hey, maybe they’ll finally be reunited with Ricky while they’re here. Horses can cover a lot of ground if left unbothered, we’re sure of it. You just might need to go to the show to find out.
