From his arrival pre-pandemic with the absolute banger “How Will I Rest In Peace If I’m Buried By A Highway” to an attention-catching set at Boston Calling 2022 to his recent collab with Bloc Party, we’re all about the KennyHoopla party train. Now fresh off dropping June single “SABOTAGE//” with Travis Barker — and a few that followed, like last month’s breezy, ’10s indie-kissed “keep a window open//”, which sounds like a lost Captured Tracks release — the Ohio songwriter continues his rise with a headlining tour that takes him to the Paradise Rock Club this evening (September 27).
“‘SABOTAGE//’ is about becoming so self-aware as a person you end up being restricted by invisible boundaries and blurred lines,” he says. “You’re becoming a toxic mixture of everyone’s viewpoint swirled inside of your head until everything is right and wrong at the same time and you end up paralyzed — not being an actual progression for anyone at all, burning everything you touch.”
Get in on this show, post up early for Boston’s beloved 5ever, and roll The ‘Dise on a Wednesday.
