Gorillaz will bring the Demon Days of summer to Fenway Park this September.
Following the release of their spring LP Cracker Island, Damon Albarn’s virtual band has announced “The Getaway” shows, a four-stop sprint across the United States that includes concerts in Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago, and Boston. The mini-tour begins September 10 at LA’s BMO Stadium and ends September 19 at Fenway Park.
Billed as “one band, one bus, four cities,” the slew of shows actually boasts four groups, with openers KAYTRANADA, Lil Yachty, and Remi Wolf performing at all four dates. As of print time, the Boston show marks Fenway’s final concert of the season, which already includes performances from P!NK, Fall Out Boy, Guns N’ Roses, and Dead & Company.
