We’re told that Echosmith’s debut single “Cool Kids” — which turns 10 next year if you were wondering if the song was still about you — is going viral again, and just in time. The California alt-pop trio just dropped a refreshing new track called “Hang Around” last month, and will now takes songs new and old out on a North American tour this fall. And Phoebe Ryan and Band of Silver are on board as support acts.
Dubbed The Hang Around Tour, the 25-date run kicks off October 13 in Nashville and wraps November 19 in San Diego, and along the way rolls into Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on October 21. Tickets go on sale this Friday (July 15), and echosmith.com has all the details.
“This whole new era is based on being completely honest about who we are,” says Sydney Sierota. “We gave ourselves permission to explore and be creative in a way that we’d never been before, and to write without worrying about being the most perfect, clean versions of ourselves. We are so excited for this tour and to play new music, and we can’t wait to see everyone dancing and singing the night away with us!”
