It’s easy to say indie-folk projects set out to create their own worlds. Brooklyn’s Florist are expanding way beyond that, reaching out across a new age galaxy on their new single and video for “Sci-Fi Science.” The floating track, out Wednesday (June 1), will be featured on Florist’s forthcoming self-titled album, due July 30 via Double Double Whammy.

“’Sci-fi Silence’ is a love song about the mystical forces that attract us to one another and the spaces in-between words that can hold profound communications,” says Emily Sprague. “It is also a reflection on our impermanence and the acceptance that it is worth it to invite love and connection into our lives even for just a moment.”
