Maybe his television buddy won’t be able to save the universe, but perhaps we can test it out this weekend to see if maybe the comedy of Brian Posehn has the potential to swoop in and save the day.
Bringing a whole lot of jokes and cringe-inducing self-deprecation to Beverly this weekend for two nights at Off Cabot starting on Friday (July 17), Posehn returns to the area that never forgets him or takes him for granted when it comes to delivering the goods. Although his comedy is well represented both on stage and on screen, as you’ll see in the upcoming HBO Max Big Bang Theory spinoff series Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, it’s always a delight to be reminded in real time why we, as a collective, enjoy his approach to the stage so much.
It’s moody, it wades in the waters of both metal music and sci-fi fandom, and it might just be exactly what we need to reset as we close out another week right in the thick of the dog days of summer. In the words of Princess Leia: Help us, Uncle Nick. You’re our only hope.
