Mic’d Up: Chris Fleming brings home some beautiful nonsense

For as many times as we’ve seen Chris Fleming flaunt his fabulous comedic genius around New England just over the course of the last year, we’re pretty confident in declaring that it simply never gets old.

That sentiment stands as true as ever as the endlessly energetic and deliciously enigmatic comedy fan favorite returns home for four shows at The Wilbur starting on Friday (July 10) to flaunt not just his undisputed cred as “the pride of Stow,” much to the chagrin of NHL Hall of Famer Tom Barrasso, but also his latest offering of spastic, blood-pumping, and wheeze-inducing comedy that has only further endeared both seasoned and new fans of his craft since the release of his most recent special, Live at The Palace, which premiered on HBO in February.

Of course the days of DePiglio were simpler, but as Fleming continues his quest to expand his fan base, as he puts it, beyond women who brought a knife to prom, we’re seeing a true “Willy Wonka of comedy” working his magic and madness into some of the finest art in all the land in real time — so get with it while he’s right in front of you.

CHRIS FLEMING :: Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: Times vary, $49 to $70 :: Advance Tickets
