In an industry where your ability to communicate is paramount, Big Jay Oakerson is coming back to Boston to show us how he’s the best one of them all.
Per the announcement earlier this week, the Philadelphia native already has his eyes set on the next leg of his ongoing Greatest Yapper Alive tour in 2027, which sees him taking the stage at The Wilbur in the early innings of the year with one show slated for January 23.
Fresh off a top-tier appearance on the dais of the Netflix roast of Kevin Hart, where Oakerson eviscerated his longtime friend along with the likes of Shane Gillis, Pete Davidson, Chelsea Handler, and Tony Hinchcliffe among others, Oakerson has remained one of the most consistently touring comics in the game, while also releasing his most recent two-part comedy special, They/Them, in 2025, which received an Audience Choice Award for Independent Comedy Special of the Year following the project’s success.
Also at The Wilbur, Mojo Brookzz makes his way to town for a night on August 15 as part of his Outta Pocket tour, while Akaash Singh returns for a night as part of his own Generational Triumph tour on October 16. While his touring schedule has kept him busy, Singh also released his latest special, Gaslit, in 2024.
Over in Medford, Michelle Wolf is roaring back with a fresh hour, dubbed The Best Job in the World, which she brings to the Chevalier on December 3. Most recently, Wolf released her fourth stand-up special, The Well, on Netflix in 2025.
As if this growing list of all-star heavy hitters didn’t already have you putting the miles on your car, Mark Normand will also be making his way back to New England as part of his upcoming Mumbo Jumbo tour, with one night at Foxwoods planned for December 19.
Tickets for these shows can be accessed via venue pre-sales starting today (May 14) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. General on-sale begins Friday (May 15) at 10 a.m. ET.
