Every time James Acaster has made his way to town, it’s felt like we’re watching him level up. Now, as he marks his imminent return, it’s to the point where he needs to spread the word in two different spots.
It’s a good problem to have too much Acaster for one room, though, as the English multi-hyphenate artist fills a sold-out Wilbur on Sunday (January 25) following a sold-out offering on Saturday (January 24) at Chevalier Theatre in Medford. While not a stranger to the area, any time the accomplished comedian and author makes his way back, it feels like a highly-anticipated special event, which makes sense given Acaster’s ability to bring his audience along for an immersive ride through deeply personal stories and struggles that connect him to his fans in a unique way.
With three highly successful specials under his belt, as well as two bestselling books, and two active and widely received podcasts, it’s clear that Acaster is continuing to do something right. Now it’s time for us to see what exactly that is this time around.
JAMES ACASTER :: Sunday, January 25 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: 6 p.m., sold out :: Advance tickets
