It feels like ages ago we first saw Lights live at a small Cambridge club supporting her debut EP, and it’s no wonder the Canadian electro-pop artist has developed a cult-like following ever since. Now the singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, comic book author, DJ, and artist delivered new album A6 last month, and now roughly a month later returns to town tonight (June 3) to play Brighton Music Hall in Allston.
“I’ve spent my last year and a half off the road putting my heart and soul into A6,” she says. “Now I’m so ready to bring it to life and hear everyone sing it back to me. There’s nothing like that feeling and this record will be extra special, I can feel it.”
The tour is dubbed (A)LIVE AGAIN — “thank u thank u i thought of that,” Lights playfully revealed on Insta in an extended album and tour statement — and you can hear the effervescent single of that almost-similar title below. Get psyched.
