Where were you while Oasis were getting back together?
The Britpop titans made good on days of rumors by confirming a slate of 2025 reunion shows on Tuesday (August 27), and maybe the most Oasis thing about it was pairing the word “live” with “’25” in the promo.
“This is it, this is happening,” read a Tweet @oasis this morning, revealing 13 massive live shows across the United Kingdom and Ireland, with tickets on sale this Friday (August 31). The shows are July 4 and 4 at Cardiff Principality Stadium; July 11, 12, 19, and 20 at their hometown Manchester Heaton Park; July 25, 26 and August 2, 3 at London Wembley Stadium; August 8 and 9 at Edinburgh Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium; and August 16 and 17 at Dublin Croke Park.
Oasis last performed live as a band in 2009, with both Liam and Noel Gallagher embarking on uneven solo careers. But Oasis classics remain a staple of each act’s live show, and requests for a proper Oasis reunion have persisted over the past 15 years. The brothers’ ongoing feud has never left the headlines, and some sort of agreement was always inevitable.
“The guns have fallen silent,” another tweet reads. “The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
Rumors about a North American tour, which included a possible date at Gillette Stadium in September ’25 alongside appearances in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, and Los Angeles, have not yet been confirmed. So stay tuned for that, if all goes well.
