Open up wide, Boston. The Comedy Bang! Bang! brigade is back in town, and they’re sending their critically-acclaimed madness straight down our gullets.
As announced earlier this week amidst a flurry of newly added shows, the crack team behind the wildly successful TV show and podcast, led by host Scott Auckerman, will be hitting the road and setting up shop at The Wilbur on June 13 as part of the show’s upcoming Bang! Bang! Into Your Mouth tour. With more than 850 episodes in their catalog, the show continues to attract names from all over the creative spectrum and build on to the universe Auckerman and his trusty group of fellow comics have created over the course of 15 years on the grind.
OG Vine star and multi-faceted comedian HaHa Davis will be in town for one show at The Wilbur on June 14. With an expansive creative vision, Davis has continued to works his way up the ranks in comedy while lending his talents to artists like Chance The Rapper and Snoop Dogg, and he even appeared as a character in NBA 2K18, among a myriad of other roles in TV, music videos and commercials.
Charlie Berens is making his way back to The Wilbur stage for a good old fashioned comedy show on September 20 as part of his Good Old Fashioned tour. While he continues to grow his stand-up reach and his social media presence through TikTok videos and extended sketches, the Wisconsin native also published a book, The Midwest Survival Guide in 2021, and released a stand-up special, Midwest Goodbye, in 2023. Just over 24 hours after Berens heads out of town, Wanda Sykes gets into it with a Boston crowd during her Please & Thank You tour, for a full weekend at The Wilbur between September 21 and 22. Most recently, the longtime comedy killer released her second Netflix special, I’m An Entertainer, in 2023.
October will see a few more exciting podcast happenings when Heather McDonald brings her Juicy Scoop Experience to Tremont Street on October 6, before Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally bring the thrill of their co-hosted podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me on October 10.
