Last week we warned that we’ll all be getting a whole lotta DIIV in 2024, and the wave has started up immediately. The Brooklyn band of Andrew Bailey, Colin Caulfield, Ben Newman, and Zachary Cole Smith has unveiled a North American tour for this summer, a 33-date romp in support of forthcoming fourth album Frog in Boiling Water, out May 24 via Fantasy Records.
Included towards the end of the journey is an August 5 appearance at Royale in Boston, a day after DIIV plays Montreal’s Osheaga Music and Arts Festival. Check all the dates below, and note that general ticket on-sale starts Friday (March 1) at 10 a.m. local time.
Between now and last week’s streaming release of grungy new single “Brown Paper Bag,” DIIV crafted a music video that’s a spoof on Saturday Night Live, complete with intro by Fred Durst. They even have the social media to back it all up. Check it.
