This Show Is Tonight: Cold Cave’s prayer from nowhere leads to Boston

Publicity photo

A run supporting Depeche Mode, proper placement in the fall’s Darker Waves festival, and a vinyl re-issue of several of their early records via Heartworm Press — there’s always something happening in the shadowy world of Cold Cave. Now we can add some Boston love to the list, as Wes Eisold’s influential darkwave and modern post-punk project brings a grayscale illumination to the Paradise Rock Club this evening (September 27). As we noted in June, our weathered audiences will get a support slot from Dais Records artist SRSQ for this gig, making it one of the most exciting shows of the calendar as summer fades to fall and everything just gets colder. And be sure to get there on the early side for the selections of DJ Brian L, who brings a dose of Corrosion over to Commonwealth Avenue.

COLD CAVE + SRSQ + DJ BRIAN L :: Thursday, September 21 at The Paradise Rock Club, 967 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston, MA :: 7 p.m., 18-plus, $20 :: Event info :: Advance tickets
