Some days we need more weed and more friends, other days we want no weed and no friends. But Saint Harison has drifted off somewhere in the nebulous middle, and has the vocal chops to convince us thoroughly on tender ballad “more weed, less friends.” The British singer-songwriter today (August 8) dropped the Teeeezy C-directed visual for the closing track of May EP lost a friend, and it’s a stripped down and intimate performance, leaning on the voice of Saint Harison, inviting us into his world. “‘more weed, less friends’ was such a fun song to write for me,” he says. “I was sat in my room at my piano and was just listening to old Disney songs. Ever since Banksy opened ‘Dismaland’ in 2015 I’ve always been so inspired by the juxtaposition of escapism and reality. I wanted the song to feel classic, but also real, so I just started writing about how lonely I felt at that time.”
