It’s not coincidence that as most of the country falls under a Winter Storm Advisory, Kim Petras is bringing a new kind of cool to alt-pop. Last week the groundbreaking trans artist delivered a sultry industrial bounce through her new single “brrr,” and last night (January 23), the German-born, Los Angeles-based comet brought the chill to the late-night television circuit by debuting the track on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Watch her delivery, surrounded by nothing on stage but an icy-blue backdrop and lighting, below.
The appearance followed a wild TV streak for Petras, who over the weekend joined Sam Smith to perform their chart-topping collab “Unholy” on Saturday Night Live, with Petras emerging out from under Smith’s dress.
