Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys shake it out at the ‘Goth Beach’

Via artist

As we all stretch, take a deep breath, and exhale out of a long weekend of Fourth of July festivities, Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys have gone and given us the feel-goth hit of the summer. It’s called “Goth Beach,” it’s a feisty garage-pop number that dropped on the Monday holiday (July 4), and well, we’ll be honest: Anything that invites us to smoke a spliff with Robert Smith and take shrooms with Siouxsie Sioux is gonna turn spooky heads in our camp.

Oh yeah, yeah — yeah!

“‘Goth Beach’ is a rumpus, rock-art soiree that is one part Beach Blanket Bingo, one part Rock Lobster, and equal parts black eyeliner, angst, and the magical-rainbow-feel-good-positivity that emanates from everything Walter Alice Sickert & The Toys create,” the band declares. “Surf’s up! Grab your SPF 666, hit the sand, and hang ten with Satan because all bodies are ‘Goth Beach’ bodies!”

That sounds like great advice to us. Hit the track via Spotify, or feast those pale eyes on the uber-fun music video, directed by Walter Alice Sickert, produced By Edrie Edrie, and edited by Joshua F. Leonard. Full credits in the YouTube link, and hit Sickert’s Insta for a quick primer on how to do the “Goth Beach” dance.
