Back in January 2020, we wrote an article about My Chemical Romance coming to Boston later that September. It never happened. In June 2020, we wrote an article about My Chemical Romance coming to Boston in September 2021. That also never happened. We won’t need to relay the reason why, because it’s obvious, but we can relay this: My Chemical Romance have expanded their 2022 North American tour, and it includes two shows at TD Garden, September 7 and 8. The second date was just added today (March 9) due to popular demand.

Three cheers for the third try! These upcoming shows in North Station will mark the reunited New Jersey emo band’s first live appearance in Massachusetts since playing Xfinity Center in Mansfield with blink-182 back in 2011.

Tickets to the new Boston date goes on sale Friday (March 11) at noon local time, and tickets to the previously unveiled show are on sale now. Get all that info here.

My Chemical Romance have also unveiled the opening acts on this massive tour, and the list includes Badflower, Devil Master, Dilly Dally, GHÖSH, Kimya Dawson, Meg Myers, Midtown, Nothing, Shannon and the Clams, Soul Glo, Surfbort, Taking Back Sunday, The Bouncing Souls, The Homeless Gospel Choir, The Lemon Twigs, Thursday, Turnstile, Waterparks, and Youth Code.

Here in Boston, we’re getting Thursday and Badflower. Watch the tour promo trailer below, and get all the dates after the jump.
