A time-honored winter tradition has returned: Eye-fucking the Coachella lineup from miles and miles away.

The famed Southern California music and arts festival is set to return this spring after a two-year absence due to the pandemic, and last night (January 12) it unveiled its 2022 lineup, going down April 15 to 17 and 22 to 24 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Headlining this year’s edition are Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Kanye West, billed as Ye for closing Sunday services. Swedish House Mafia’s “return to the desert” is also heralded in the big-font.

In addition to the superstars up top, some pure heat rides just underneath, including Phoebe Bridgers, Daniel Caesar, Disclosure, Run The Jewels, Doja Cat, jamie xx, Danny Elfman, Megan Thee Stallion, Maggie Rogers, and Ari Lennox.

Catching our attention in the undercard is a batch of notable bands and artists: IDLES, Kim Petras, Spiritualized, The Marias, girl in red, Caroline Polachek, Hot Chip, Mannequin Pussy, Orville Peck, beabadoobee, Surf Curse, Molchat Doma, Holly Humberstone, Viagra Boys, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Crumb, the Brooklyn band that formed while at Tufts University in Medford.

Belly is also listed on the flyer, but we think it’s the Palestinian-Canadian rapper and not the beloved New England alt-rock band.

Both weekends will be livestreamed on YouTube. Tickets to the first weekend are already sold out, and tickets to the second swing go on sale Friday (January 14) at 10 a.m. PST. Pre-register for tickets here, and peep the full lineup below.
